Bonivital Teams Excel at the 2017 National Club Championships!

Representing Manitoba at the U17 Boys, U17 Girls and U15 Boys National tournaments, all three Bonivital teams went through to the medal rounds, coming away with a National Championship Gold and a Bronze medal in a landmark year of achievement. 


Bonivital U17 Boys - National Club Champions for 2017

Bonivital's U17 Boys squad posted a perfect 5- 0 record en route to a convincing 3-1 win over Mistral Quebec in the gold medal game. Never trailing in a match, the boys were the class of the tournament both on and off the field. Congratulations to each member of team, coaches Tony Mazza and Greg Nordman, and manager Jodi Martin.

Bonivital U15 Boys - 2017 National Bronze Medallists

After a tough first-game loss to eventual tournament champion Quebec, Bonivital's U15 boys improved with every match, culminating in an exhilarating 1-0 win over Ontario to take home the bronze medal. Congratulation to the players, coaches Malcolm Mitchell, Greg Walker, and team manager Scott Wilkes. 

Bonivital U17 Girls Finish Fourth at Nationals

Finishing second in their pool with 3-1 record and a +5 goal differential, the U17 girls finished just out of the medals in a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to Nova Scotia in the bronze medal match. Their performance at Nationals caps an outstanding year for the team, who were also WYSA League and Cambrian Cup Champions, and MSA Provincial Champions. Congratulation to the players and coaches Jorge Cabral and Rui Menezes.  


BVSC Players Train with National Team!


Bonivital U16 and U17 boys participated in the final training camp with the Canadian womens national team. The National team coaches had the boys replicate patterns and sequences that Costa Rica would use during the game.The feedback we got from the national team staff was excellent - our players were a credit to our club. Well done boys.


BVSC U14 Premier Boys Take Silver in Calgary!

Congratulations to the U14PR1 Boys team on winning the Silver Medal at the Inaugural Foothills S.C. Invitational Tournament in Calgary on May 7th. Under coach Malcolm Mitchell, they went undefeated through the round robin, beating Foothills S.C. (Calgary), Queen City United (Regina), and Edmonton Strikers, and amassed a 22-1 goal differential. They faced Swindon Town Academy, a professional team academy on a tour from England, in the Championship match. The boys represented Bonivital proudly, being defeated 2-0. Well done to players and coaching staff!


Cambrian Cup Challenge U14 Indoor Champions

Congratulations to the U14B PR1 Red team for winning the Cambrian Challenge Cup for the 2016-17 Indoor season. They defeated a very strong FCNW U14B PR1 squad in the 10th round of penalties after battling through regulation and extra time. Congratulations to Coach Lukas Douglas, for taking this age-advanced team from a sixth place regular league finish to winners of the League title. Well done to the players and coaching staff!!


BVSC Welcomes New Assistant Technical Director

Bonivital is pleased to announce that Fabio Capone has joined the club's coaching staff as our new Assistant Technical Director. A National B licensed coach, Fabio brings to BVSC over 25 years of soccer experience as a coach, coach educator, administrator and player. He has worked extensively with players and coaches from minis up to elite senior teams, and has been instrumental in the development of youth soccer programming at all levels. Please extend a warm BV welcome to Fabio when you see him on the pitch this spring. 


Bonivital Golden Boy Champions

Five Bonivital teams won gold at  this year's edition of the WYSA Golden Boy Tournament. Congratulations to the players and coaching staff of the BVSC teams:

  • U11 DL Boys Holfeld
  • U14 PR2 Girls Kern
  • U14 PR1 Boys Douglas
U9 Girls Dreger
Two wins a tie in the round robin earned the team a spot in the final against undefeated Yorkton FC team from Saskatchewan. With just five minutes left the BVSC girls were down 2-0 but didn't give up, scoring two quick goals before time expired. After a scoreless extra time, the Flames won in a thrilling shootout 5-4! 
"I am very proud of this team. They found themselves down on the scoreboard three of the four games and each time they came back to win. Their positive attitude and great team work was the reason they finished the tournament as champions," said coach Steve Dreger.
U9 Boys Pansini
Congratulations to the U9 boys Pansini team for finishing in 1st place at the 2017 Golden Boy Tournament.  The team played a hard fought weekend of soccer against some great competition. A great effort by both players and coaches!
U11 Boys Holfeld
It was an all-Bonivital final with the BVSC U11 Boys Holfeld winning in PKs after a high quality match against BVSC U11 Boys Aiello. Congratulations to both teams!
U14 PR2 Girls Kern
The Bonvital U14G PR2 won Gold with a score of 1-0 against Lakehead Express U15G in a tightly-contested final. Congrats to the players and coaches!
U14 PR1 Boys Douglas
The U14 Premier Boys went undefeated through round robin play, and triumphed in the final withj a 3-1 victory over QC United from Regina. Congratulations to team and staff.
